We started the First Issue off with a BANG! The Plaid Avener becomes lost while racing the iditerod and ends up in Alaska, where he encounters a group of world leaders discussion the rules of Arctic Sovereignty. He is nearly knocked out an igloo when a Russian Sub breaks through the Arctic ice. As the Plaid Avenger sneaks onto the Russian Sub he is discovered by none other than Vladimir Putin himself.
